Borrowing items is free of charge and is limited to ten (10) concurrent items, generally for a period of three (3) weeks. Materials may be renewed either in person or by phone. Overdue fines will be charged on materials returned past the stated due date
Materials not part of the collection can be obtained through interlibrary loan, governed by the rules of the lending library. Scans may be provided in place of the requested book chapters; journal articles are customarily provided in scanned format. In most instances, there are no charges for interlibrary loan, except on those occasions when the Tuttleman Library is charged. Any charges will be passed on to the borrower.
All interlibrary loan requests must be submitted to the librarian; requests should be expected to take from 1 hour (for emailed journal articles, up to 2 weeks for printed books. Every effort is made to expedite the request as soon as it is made, and to inform the researcher as soon as the book arrives.
Reliable wifi is available in the library. There is a computer available for visitors' use to access the online library catalog.
